Warranty & Returns

We comply with UK legislation including The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 for goods purchased from us through this website or by telephone. Goods purchased for non-consumer use, by business users or for re-sale are excluded from the Regulations but can still be returned to us within the warranty period should a fault develop as they are covered against breakdown under the manufacturers 12 months warranty.

Warranty period:

All goods carry a 12 month return to base repair, replace or refund warranty (at our discretion) unless otherwise stated in the product description. Products which have a warranty period longer than 12 months are covered by the manufacturer and should be referred to them in the event a fault develops after the initial 12 months.

Warranty cover:

The warranty covers the goods for breakdown against failure due to manufacturing defects and is limited to repairing, replacing or refunding (at our discretion) the goods. It does not cover accidental damage or fair wear and tear.

Returning goods:

Before returning goods under warranty you must contact us first as all returns must have prior authorisation. It's often helpful to discuss the problem with us first as often they are due to user error or to external conditions affecting the correct operation of the goods and can be resolved with a few words of guidance.

In some instances it may be more appropriate for us to guide you to contact the manufacturers helpline for advice.

Faulty items which are not covered by on-site warranty should be returned to us for inspection and testing. Unless previously agreed the faulty item needs to be returned as a complete unit with all parts and accessories as originally supplied. The exception to this is the packaging or instructions which does not need to be returned however if it is not returned we may need to keep the packaging or instructions from the replacement unit.

Returned goods will be processed quickly to minimise delay but occasionally they may need to be left on a soak test for a short while if the fault reported is not initially observed.

Please e-mail before returning goods to discuss the problem first and to provide you with authorisation to return.

For your own protection please ensure goods are adequately packed and insured when posting back to us as we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to goods being returned to us.

We do not offer a collection service.

No fault found/invalidated warranty:

In the event goods are returned to us and found to have been tampered with, suffered misuse/damage or opened then this will invalidate the warranty and they will be returned to the sender.

If returned goods do not exhibit the fault upon initial testing they will be left on soak test for a short while to provide a more thorough test. If there is still no sign of a fault they will be returned to the sender.

If returned goods exhibit a fault like condition which is due to an incorrect setting or user error they will be classed as no fault found and returned to the sender.

Our full return carriage charge of up to £7.50 may be required to cover the cost of returning goods which are no fault found or where the warranty has been invalidated back to the sender.

None of the above affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
