Product information
Plantronics Supra is in a class of it's own and one of the world's best-selling headsets due to it's lightweight, superior sound quality, durability and comfort for wearing over prolonged periods of use.
There are several options available in the Supra range and the most suitable model for your needs is actually very simple to decide on.
The considerations are whether to go for a monaural or binaural headset (i.e. one earpiece or two earpieces) and whether a noise cancelling microphone is necessary or not.
How to choose which model you need
Monaural or binaural?
Normally a monaural headset is more than adequate for most people but when you need to fully concentrate on a call and minimise distraction from the office then a binaural headset will provide sound in both ears and help block out unwanted noise from the room making the call easier to hear.
Do I need a noise-cancelling microphone or standard microphone?
If you're in a busy office or noisy room then you should really consider going for a noise-cancelling microphone because this will eliminate up to 75% of the background noise making the call a lot clearer.
(There will be no disadvantage in using a noise-cancelling headset in a quiet room if you don't need one now but think it's worth the small extra cost to invest for the future in case your circumstances change.)
Plantronics Supra model numbers explained
H51 are monaural headsets
H61 are binaural headsets
Models with a noise-cancelling microphone have a 'N' suffix
Standard microphone versions (H51 & H61) are fitted with voice tubes and the noise-cancelling versions (H51N & H61N) have flexible booms.
All models are backed up by a 2 year warranty
